An Introduction
We would like to introduce ourselves to you and give you an overview of our organization. We are glad that our paths have crossed, and trust that we will be able to be of mutual encouragement to each other as we desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Kingdom Gospel Ministries, Inc. was formed as a non-profit corporation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania November 4, 1985, by John and Verileah Teets. The purposes included in our incorporation are broad, and those that we have been able to actively pursue to date are "to promote the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ through publication of a periodical THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, which shall be distributed without charge" and "offering assistance to those in need". We no longer publish the periodical, but maintain our Life in the Spirit blog and write numerous booklets and tracts as well. Check our resource tab for titles that are available.
In December, 2002, we started the Kingdom Gospel Broadcast on WTMR, 800am based in Camden, NJ, and whose signal reached greater Philadelphia, South Jersey, Northern Delaware, and Eastern Maryland. We currently are on the Wilkins Radio Network and the Radio Delaware Valley Network each weekend with live streaming for all broadcasts and with our programs also available 24/7 on our website with edgy and provocative dramas, messages springing off current events, and verse-by-verse Bible studies 24/7. We also include poignant interviews broadcast on WTMR, some messages I preached in churches, and local guest preachers in their own folders. Just refer to our home page to hear our programs on the radio live-streamed, or on-demand 24/7.
We have had Kingdom Gospel Tabernacle cell meetings in North Philadelphia, Hartsville, and Horsham, PA as well as special gatherings in our home and outside venues including programs at restaurants.

Who We Are
Evangelist John Teets, President and Treasurer
John A. Teets was commissioned as a licensed minister through the Anchor Bay Evangelistic Association and is a registered architect in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in private practice with his office in Horsham, Pennsylvania. He works on a wide range of projects such as Churches, Academies and Child Care Centers, Convenience Stores, Vehicle and Industrial Facilites, as well as apartments and single-family residences in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His business commenced its 45th year September 21, 2023. He has also been involved with computer graphics, desktop publishing, and similar pursuits for a number of years, being a dealer for Business Cards Tomorrow, and is an Associate Agent in Property and Casualty Insurance for the Teets Insurance Group led by his older son Joel. John has enjoyed playing the French Horn, including in a college orchestra which performed in venues including NYC's Town Hall and Boston's Jordan Hall.
Parallel to this has been a love of writing, mainly commentary and topical studies, that has been going on since he was very young, as well as speaking to encourage and challenge people to maturity in Christ. He has produced over 2,500 Radio Programs and writes prolifically on faith, politics, and other subjects - check out his Life in the Spirit blog from the tab on the home page of this site. John loves to read a variety of genres, trying to complete at least two books per week. Born in New Jersey, he moved out west with his family while very young. He accepted Christ into his life at the age of 5 in Gilman, Colorado, a small zinc mining camp where his parents started an inter-ethnic Sunday School under the auspices of the American Sunday School Union. He later moved back to the intercultural city of Plainfield, New Jersey, where a solid foundation in the Bible and respecting all people was laid. He was a member of the Hydewood Park Baptist Church in North Plainfield, and went through the Christian Service Brigade program, attaining the rarely-achieved Herald of Christ Award. During a mighty move of God's spirit in the tri-cities area (Albany-Schenectady-Troy, NY) while studying at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in getting two degrees in Architecture, he was one of many who were baptized by Jesus into the Holy Spirit, and his life has never been the same since. After moving to Philadelphia in 1971, he worked for the Architects' Workshop doing community planning, architectural design, and advocacy, and for many years attended the Philadelphia Gospel Temple, now known as Living Word Community. Here, the practical outworking of the move of God's Spirit occurred in homemeetings and services that invite the congregation to share as well as the speaker, and where worship is an active pursuit. He met his wife Verileah there and they married in 1974. Their inter-ethnic marriage is a natural consequence of learning throughout the years to appreciate people without partiality, and is a witness that there are no barriers in God's love. They are looking forward to their fiftieth anniversary D.V. October 6, 2024, and they have two active boys - their older son, Joel is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and currently principal of the Teets Insurance Group, married to Nicole Marsden with three daughters, Ava, Daniella (Dani), and Olivia (Livi) as well as one son Gabriel Joel (Gabe). Their younger son Dan is a graduate of West Virginia University and currently works for the Ethicon Division of Johnson and Johnson as an Animal Health Consultant and is married to Elise Maher with a son Christian Daniel and a daughter Cameron Grace (Cami).
In terms of ministry, other than at Kingdom Gospel, John served on the worship team and as a home meeting leader at Living Word Community, as pastor of a cell church named Mt. Airy Christian Community, and as a Youth Pastor at the Pakistani New Life Church. He has preached and spoken before numerous churches of many persuasions plus a variety of large and small groups, with a special emphasis on radio and internet ministry beginning in 2002. He also held meetings of Kingdom Gospel Tabernacle, ministering to people of any church or no church. John loves to study the Bible and intercedes daily in detail for the nations of the world, the persecuted church, political leaders, educational institutions, churches, ministries, families, friends, and the projects and clients he is involved with. God speaks every day and John has journaled for many years, truly treasuring and loving that intimacy with Christ.Verileah Teets, Vice President and Secretary
Verileah E. Teets, the Vice President and Secretary of our corporation, was a school teacher and guidance counselor for many years in the Philadelphia public school system. She is a graduate of Cheyney University and has a Masters in Counseling and Guidance from the Michigan State University. She also enjoys writing tracts, poems, plays, and songs, particularly for children. She is a prayer warrior for children in what is called Rachel's Army. She was a finalist in the Pew Fellowship competition for music composition and had a children's book published, A RAIN STORM by Tate Publishing Company. She is a member of the Hatboro writers' Group and formerly belonged to the Patchwork Storytelling Guild and the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild having developed into a storyteller. She has performed at private events in New York City and among her many performances was an original piece celebrating forgiveness at the 350th Anniversary of the founding of New Jersey at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. She is a classical pianist having been trained at the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts and currently at the Settlement Music School. She specializes in Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, and Khachaturian. She also has performed in a worship dance troupe. The website for her creative work is www.Verileah.com.
She later taught psychology to adults at the Center for Urban Theological Studies in Philadelphia, and served as Director of the Philadelphia Municipal Employees Prayer Group, a ministry her mother founded over 55 years ago. Her primary burden is evangelism, and she has been used by the Lord for many years in ministering Christ in a compassionate way to people she simply meets in the course of life. She accepted the Lord while at Tenth Memorial Baptist church about the age of seven, and moved on to Mt. Ephraim Christian Church, where she engaged in extensive evangelism activities, being President of the young adults. While pursuing her master's degree in Michigan, she met people from all over the world, and began to gain much from relating more to people across racial and cultural lines. She spent substantial time at the Overcomer Teaching Center in Springfield, MO (see The Way of Eagles article on this site written by its founder, Bill Britton), and heard John Poole speak in Delaware. She was moved by his kingdom message and began attending the Philadelphia Gospel Temple, where he served as pastor. It was there where she met John. She has traveled extensively, including 6 weeks in West Africa with other travel to Israel, London, Rome, and Greece. She has produced intercultural singing/dance programs and also sings the scriptures spontaneously as the Lord gives her unique melodies. She is a Prayer Warrior and also enjoys assisting her husband in his business, being a regular radio actor on our broadcasts, and writing articles for Kingdom Gospel.
As A Couple
As a couple, we share more than 140 years of Christian experience, and have had the opportunity to be taught of God in many different areas and experienced God's move in many diverse venues. We have met Christians from all over who have desired to better know God and his ways and to better understand what the Kingdom of God is all about. We want to work together with them to better come into our full inheritance in God. The Bible is our authority, which is quickened to us by the work of the Holy Spirit and is the Living Word of God. We both love music, especially the classical and worship genres, and in addition to playing instruments, we have been in choirs together - in Verileah's multi-lingual choir called VISIONS and in special programs with the Family Worship Center Choir. We both were also privileged to be Christian soap opera radio actors on two Salem Network stations in the New York market for TRANSFORMATION MINISTRY, led by Christians from Brooklyn Tabernacle. We have tried to use every medium possible to present the gospel of the Lord and principles for living in a manner pleasing to Him.
Statement of Faith
Kingdom Gospel Ministries, Inc. and Kingdom Gospel Tabernacle
THE HOLY BIBLE
We believe the Holy Scriptures containing the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant as originally written, infallible and God-breathed, the final authority for faith and practice. They are totally accurate historically, scientifically, and in every other way. Since there has been so much compromise by many in this area, it must be said that Genesis is a foundational book and all compromises from its plain meaning with secular philosophies parading as science and morality are rejected. This includes but is not limited to God's creation of the world in six 24-hour days and the establishment by God of marriage as being only between one man and one woman, both of which are first taught in Genesis, but affirmed throughout the whole of scripture.
(Genesis 1-3, Exodus 20:11, II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:20, 21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12, 13 and many other scriptures)
THE GODHEAD
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three Persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory and having the same attributes and perfection.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14)
GOD THE FATHER
God the Father is the primary focus of our prayers and our obedience. We are to live in reverent fear of God the Father. Our purpose in life is to live for God through Christ. We submit to him as Christ submitted to him. We receive the Spirit of Sonship and cry "Abba Father." The Father alone knows the times and dates for eternity.
(Matthew 6:6, 9; John 16:25-28; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:15; I Corinthians 8:6; I John 5:1-3)
God the Father is the one who draws men to Christ, and no one comes to the Father except through Christ.
(John 6:44; John 14:6)
God the Father loved us so much that he gave us his only Son and his Holy Spirit. He also is our source and gives us all good things.
(Matthew 7:11; Luke 11:13; John 3:16; Acts 1:4-5)
God the Father is a Spirit, and Jesus Christ is the visible incarnation of God. Those who see Christ, see the Father.
(John 6:46; John 14:6-14; Colossians 1:15)
THE PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS CHRIST
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God, and redeem sinful men, and forever continue living in heaven making intercession for us. We come to the Father in the name of Jesus.
(John 1:1, 2, 14; Matthew 1:21; Luke 1:35, Hebrews 4:14-16 )
We believe that all things were created through the Lord Jesus Christ for Him. All things hold together because of Christ.
(Colossians 1:15-20)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished the redemption of all who accept Him through His death on the cross as a representative, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.
(Romans 3:24, 25; 4:24, 25; I Peter 1:3-5; 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; I Corinthians 15:3,4)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.
(Acts 1:9, 10; Hebrews 1:3; 9:24; 7:25; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1,2)
We believe that we are to be like Christ in character and holiness. He is our example, and we are to follow in His steps, and work the works which he did.
(Romans 8)
THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a masculine person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that He is the Supernatural Agent of regeneration and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in all the believers. We are controlled by the Spirit of God, and should exhibit the Fruits of the Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit is the seal or deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession.
(John 16:8-11; II Corinthians 3:6-8; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9; Galations 5:16-25; Ephesians 1:13, 14; I Corinthians 6:19)
We believe that He is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth; and, that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit on a continuing basis.
(John 16:13; I John 2:20, 27; Ephesians 5:18)
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating in the church under the overall principle of love, and that all should function in their gifts to build up the Body of Christ.
(I Corinthians 12-14)
We believe that all who are filled with the Holy Spirit should pray in the Spirit and with their understanding, and desire most of all to prophesy.
(Romans 8:26-27, I Corinthians 14:1, 15, Ephesians 6:18)
ALL HAVE SINNED
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that just as Adam sinned and fell, we all have sinned and are helpless to be restored to God apart from accepting salvation through Christ.
(Genesis 1:26, 27; Romans 3:22, 23; 5:1,2; Ephesians 2:1-3)
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who shed His precious blood on Calvary and rose again that our sins might be forgiven, and that we might have eternal life.
(Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-10; II Timothy 2:8; John 1:12; I Peter 1:18,19)
THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST
We believe that it is required to accept Jesus Christ not only as our Savior from sin, but as our Lord.
(Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9; I Corinthians 12:3; Ephesians 4:5; Philippians 2:11; Colossians 2:6; James 4:10; I Peter 3:15)
BAPTISM IN WATER
We believe in being baptized in water as soon as possible after being born again. The Bible says to believe and be baptized. The Ethiopian Eunuch asked Philip if anything would prevent him from being baptized right away, and was told "no". The Philippian jailor and this family was baptized the same day. Some wrongly view baptism as necessary for salvation while others treat it as merely symbolic. Baptism is a command, so it is not an option to the believer. We believe it also does something in your life. God is never one to ask people to do things that are purely symbolic. The Bible calls it an appeal to a good conscience and refers to a circumcision of the heart which would remove the crevices that can hold sin.
(Acts 2:41, 8:35-38, 10:47 16:33, 22:16; Romans 6:1-23; Galations 3:27; Colossians 2:11-13; I Peter 3:21)
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in being baptized in the Holy Spirit. Sometimes it happens simultaneous with salvation as at Pentecost and at Cornelius's house, other times as a "second blessing", which at Ephesus was a distinct event that happened very soon after water baptism. We are to keep being filled with the Holy Spirit - it is not a one time event We are also to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit which have not ceased, but operate today to edify the believer and the church.(Matthew 3:11; Luke 3:16, John 1:33, Acts 1:5, 2, 4:31, 10:44-48, 11:16-17, 19:1-7; I Corinthians 12:13)
HOLY COMMUNION
We believe in remembering the Lord's death until he comes. We do not believe the elements physically change into the body and blood of Christ, nor do we believe they are merely a symbol. We believe grace is extended to us when we take the Lord's supper - not saving grace, but grace for our lives. Paul often extended grace to Christians. Grace does not stop at repentance - it is a lifetime privilege for the saints. Some take communion once a month, others every day, but as often as you take it, do it in remembrance of the Lord and do not partake if you have unconfessed sin in your life.(Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19-20; John 6:51-58; Acts 2:42; I Corinthians 10:16-17, 11:17-34)
SEPARATION
We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and, that separation from all religious apostasy and all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded by God. We believe that man-made rules have no value against fleshly indulgence, but that our behavior is to be solely governed by the Word of God.
(II Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1, 2; 14:13; I John 2:15-17; II John 9, 11; II Corinthians 6:14-7:1; Ephesians 5:7-11; Colossians 2, 3)
MARRIAGE
We believe that marriage was established by God for a man and a woman to be joined together for life. No other combination is acceptable to God. Marital relations are to be free of infidelity, uncleanness, pornography, and acts of Sodomy. Adultery, fornication, pre-martial sex, coarse sexual talk, incest, homosexuality, bestiality, and other perversions are abominations to God and his true church.
(Genesis 2:22-24; Proverbs 5:18-19, 12:4, 18:22, 19:14, 20:6-7, 30:18-19, 31:10; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; I Corinthians 6:9-10, 15-20, 7:1-16; Ephesians 4:22-33; Colossians 3:18-19; Hebrews 13:4-7; Genesis 18:1-38; Leviticus 18:22-28 20:13-16; Deuteronomy 22:20-29, 27:20-23; Ephesians 5:4; Romans 1:24-27; I Thessalonians 4:3-5; I Timothy 1:10
DIVINE HEALING AND HEALTH
We believe that healing by God continues to this day and that the sick should be anointed and prayed for in accordance with the timeless direction in James 5:14-15. We reject cessationism as well as the belief that physical healing on this earth is guaranteed in the same way as salvation is in the atonement, as the contexts in Isaiah 53:5 and I Peter 2:24 are clearly referring to spiritual healing. Despite numerous saints being sick, never once was there a teaching in the New Testament that physical healing in the here and now was guaranteed in the atonement. In addition, Matthew 8:17 states that the promise of physical healing quoted from Isaiah 53:4 was fulfilled in the pre-atonement healing ministry of Jesus. In fact, the overwhelming majority of healings in the Bible happened BEFORE Jesus suffered and died. Nonetheless, the 'Good News' (the gospel) often brought and still brings health to the bones and we default to the position of praying forr the sick and assume that is God's will to heal unless He makes it clear otherwise. Our resurection bodies will of course be free from ALL disease as well as all our earthly limitations. Many forget that after Paul was stuck blind on the Damascus Road, God totally healed His eyes through his servant. Later, God did not do it, and based upon Paul's comment about the Galations willing to give their eyes for him were it possible, it is intriguing both instances involved his eyes. He also suffeed no consequence from the viper. We believe that divine health is often given by God and we believe that unless God indicates otherwise, as he did to Paul three times with just one instance of one of his ailments, that his desire is to heal us when we get sick. God often but not always involves Doctors in that process and we believe that true healings should be medically documented so our testimonies are based upon the real and verified acts of God. Jesus told the healed lepers to show themselves to the priests even though their healings were visually obvious - it is a powerful testimony of God's healing power. Paul traveled with Doctor Luke whenever possible and Paul doubtless was healed of other maladies other than his "thorn in the flesh," likely involving Dr. Luke for at least some of them.
We certainly should follow sound health principles of proper diet, exercise, and moderation as well as sound medical advice, but we reject harsh treatment of the body and rules of eating which can replace humbly following God and accepting what is set before us without judging people and separating ourselves from other believers. We know that sometimes disease happens when there are unforgiven sins, as noted by Jesus at times in his ministry as well as by Paul in I Corinthians 11:29-30 and by James in James 5:15, but sickness is also documented in scripture as happening to wonderful saints of God, with even the righteous suffering in this fallen world in order that God's power can be made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12), so we should never attribute the illness of any Christian as being the result of a lack of faith. We are thrilled to believe that spiritual healing IS beyond any doubt in the atonement, and we always look to God who promised to 100% heal our souls and spirits as we submit to him and entrust ourselves to his care.
( Exodus 15:26, Lev, 26:15, 16, Deut. 7:15, 28:61, 2 Kings 20, Job 2:7, Psalm 103:3, 107:17, 18, Proverbs 3:8, 4:22, 15:30, 23:2, Jer. 30:17, Ezekiel 47:12, Dan, 8:27, Mal. 4:2, Matthew 9:22, 10:8, 14:36, Luke 5:17, John 11:1, Acts 4:10, 9:37, 14:9, Rom. 6:13. 12:1, I Cor. 8:9, 9:24-30, 12:9, Eph. 5:28, Phil 2:25-30, 3:19, Col. 2:16-23, I Timothy 4:8, 20, James 5:16, Rev. 22:2)
MISSIONS
We believe that it is the obligation of the saved to witness by life and by work to the truths of Holy Scripture and to obey the commandment of our Lord to make disciples as we proclaim the Gospel to all mankind. This is not simply the province of pastors and missionaries, but all, as those Jesus was speaking to just before his acension consisted of a crowd of everyday people. God will bing people into our lives - our job is simply to be a light to them and share the Lord as He gives opportunity.
(Ps. 22:27, Ps. 68:31, Ps. 96:3; Isa. 2:2, 11:9. 42:4; Mal. 1:11; Matt. 24:14, 28:19; Mk. 13:10, 16:15; Lk. 24:47; Acts 1:8. 13:2, 3; 16:9, 26:17-18; Rom. 10:14, 15; I Cor. 9:16-23; Rev. 14:6)
THE CHURCH
We believe that the Church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born again persons. We do not belong to any denomination.
(Eph. 1:19-23; 5:25-27; I Cor. 12:12-14; II Cor. 11:2)
We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures. Believers are to be encouraged to unite with a Bible-believing church.
(Acts 14:27; 20:17,28-32; I Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11)
We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control.
(Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31; 20:28; Rom. 16:1,4; I Cor. 3:9, 16; 5:4-7, 13; I Pet. 5:1-4)
We recognize the ordinances of water baptism and Holy Communion as a scriptural means of testimony for the Church in this age.
(Mt. 28:19,20; Acts 2:41,42;18:8; I Cor. 11:23-26)
THE KINGDOM
The Kingdom was proclaimed by Jesus prior to his passion, and it was through his teaching in parables that the people received a glimpse of what it would be like living under the authority of God on this earth. Jesus taught them to pray, "Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done, on earth as it is in heaven." The Twelve and the Seventy-Two were able to heal and cast out demons as they obeyed the Lord. Now that our salvation has been won and the Holy Spirit has been given, we should expect as blood-washed servants of the most high God to see things happen through us that are happening in heaven. This only occurs as we ask God to use us and work through us by his Holy Spirit as we proclaim and demonstrate his kingdom here on earth.
(Matthew 6:10, Luke 11:2, Acts 1:1-8)
Jesus inaugurated this wonderful Kingdom and we can only enter it by his invitation and by accepting his sacrifice as the payment for our sins and his Lordship in our lives. We must be rescued from the dominion of darkness in order to be in Christ's kingdom, which can only occur through faith and the application of the atonement in our lives.
(I Thessalonians 2:12; Colossians 1:13, James 2:5)
The wicked, those living in rebellion against God, will not be able to see or enter into the Kingdom.
(I Corinthians 6:9-10, Galations 5:21, Ephesians 5:5)
The Kingdom on earth is spiritual in nature, but with extensive ramifications in our physical lives. The Kingdom when Christ returns will take on more physical characteristics after Satan is bound. Jesus inaugurated the Kingdom of God on earth by preaching the submission of people to the will of God and doing things God wants the way he wants, not the things people desire in a carnal way. He led by example and has asked us to preach and live the same way.
(John 18:36, Romans 14:17, I Corinthians 4:20, Revelation 1:9)
There is a heavenly Kingdom still to come. Those who are right with God will come into the heavenly Kingdom when Christ returns.
(2 Thessalonians 1:5, 2 Timothy 4:18)
SATAN
We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the author of sin and the cause of the fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.
(Job 1:6,7; Isa. 14:12-17; Mt. 4:2-11; 25:41; Rev. 20:10; Ezek. 28:12-19)
THE SECOND ADVENT OF CHRIST
We believe in that Jesus will return in power and great glory in the same manner is which he was taken up into heaven after his resurrection.
(Zech. 14:4-11; Rev. 19:11-16; 20:1-6; I Th. 1:10; 4:13-18; 5:9; Rev. 3:10)
THE ETERNAL STATE
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men; the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment.
(Mt. 25:46; Jn. 5:28, 29; 11:25, 26; Rev. 20:5, 6, 12, 13)
We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the first resurrection, when spirit, soul, and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord.
(Lk. 23:43; Rev. 20:4-6; II Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:23; 3:20, 21; I Th. 4:16,17)
We believe that the souls of unbelievers remain, after death, in conscious misery until the second resurrection when, with soul and body reunited, they shall appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, and shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, not to be annihilated, but to suffer everlasting conscious punishment.
(Lk. 16:19-26; Mt. 25:41-46; II Th. 1:7-9; Jude 6,7; Mk. 9:43-48; Rev. 20:11-15)
Our Practices
FINANCE
We seek to apply the highest principles of sound stewardship and ethics in all of our dealings.
We are chartered by the Anchor Bay Evangelistic Association in Leavenworth, Kansas, and they serve as our 501C3 umbrella so that we can issue receipts for all contributions for tax purposes. However, Anchor Bay has a diversity of ministries under their umbrella, and they do not define or control our specific mission, our statement of faith, or our specific practices, which are unique to how God is leading us here at Kingdom Gospel.
We gratefully receive contributions from those whom the Lord has directed to offer their support to Kingdom Gospel. We do not believe in being overly aggressive in pressing people to give, but trust God to lay it on the hearts of his people to be generous. We do not teach the Old Testament practice of tithing, but the New Testament practice of encouraging people to simply obey God in their giving and to give cheerfully in accordance with how God has blessed them. We do not give under compulsion but decide in our minds what to give as the Lord has directed. When we are obeying Christ in our lives, and His love flows out from us, our time and our money surely will follow.
Unlike Kingdom Gospel Tabernacle, which will as it grows develop the need for leadership being supported by the church, Kingdom Gospel Ministries, Inc. does not financially compensate either John or Verileah Teets for their work in that ministry.
LEADERSHIP
We believe that the Word of God is the same yesterday, today and forever. We follow the qualifications for leadership listed in the Bible, which restrict the offices of Bishop, Elder, Pastor, Teacher, and Deacon to males who meet all scriptural qualifications. Prophets, Evangelists, and Administrators have precedent in the scriptures for being of any sex who meet all spiritual qualifications. We encourage all men and women in the body of Christ to minster to all whom they meet in the course of life, spreading the gospel and discipling others,
